Matador NanoDry™ Packable Shower Towel – Large Review

A proper shower deserves more than a tiny square of cloth. The Matador NanoDry™ Packable Shower Towel – Large aims to provide that larger drying surface while still packing down for travel.

Matador describes the large version as a full-size shower towel made from fast-drying nanofiber. That combination is the reason to consider it: enough towel for the shower job without committing the space normally occupied by a thick cotton towel.

Built Around a Real Shower Routine

• Large shower-towel format: More coverage than a small hand towel.
• Nanofiber fabric: Described as fast drying by Matador.
• Silicone carrying case: A dedicated packed home.

I would still compare the actual dimensions before ordering. Full size is a useful description, but people differ in how much coverage they expect. A towel that works well for drying may not feel generous enough to wear around the waist.

Packability Changes the Choice

The practical advantage shows up when you are trying to fit a wash kit into an already full bag. A compact towel may let you carry your own instead of relying on a campground, hostel, or borrowed supply. It can also be easier to separate from dirty clothing.

The fabric will feel different from a plush household towel. If that familiar softness is your main priority, a conventional towel might still be preferable where space allows. I would choose NanoDry for travel convenience rather than expect the two textures to be identical.

Storage After Use Still Counts

Matador says the fabric absorbs twice its weight in water. Whatever the absorbency, the towel needs an opportunity to dry before long-term storage. Unpack it when you can and follow the care instructions.

This is a good comparison for campers and frequent travelers who need a full shower towel but dislike carrying a bulky one. For a pocket-sized hand-drying job, the smaller Trek Towel makes more sense. Choosing between those roles is more useful than simply buying the largest towel in the range.
